1/ The fate of the personal data collected

 

1.1 The purpose of the processing: non-commercialization of user data

 

Vianeo SAS collects personal information during the registration process and through other contacts with the customer (email, phone). These data are voluntarily transmitted by the person who registers. The collection of this data is only used to better know the customer and to adapt the response of Vianeo to be closer to the needs of the user by improving the content.
This standard information on the customer is among others the name, email address or the name of the company… and more globally any information useful to a better appreciation of the customer. Thus, the use of the data will always be related to the reason for which they were initially provided.

1.2 Personal data receiver: Vianeo SAS exclusively 

Vianeo SAS is aware of the importance of this information, that is why in no case, the collected data will be rented, sold or used for any kind of commercial activity.
Vianeo SAS is the sole recipient of all personal data provided.

1.3 Data storage

The server is software secured via the SSL protocol which uses industry standard encryption technologies to safeguard your transactions and data. It encrypts personal information as it travels across the Internet. The Vianeo platform is secured with a Letsencrypt digital certificate. This certificate guarantees that all information sent via the web will be encrypted. Feel free to click on the security mark to check the validity of our certificate and our commitment to the certificate. Sites secured with Letsencrypt SSL certificates provide up to 256-bit encryption, the highest level of encryption and security possible. Vianeo ensures that its communications between the browser and the site’s web servers are private and secure.
Vianeo hosts its data with “Amazon web services”, “OVH” and “Scaleway” which all have servers based in the European Union and which guarantee a maximum level of protection, according to the rules enacted by the new General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) which came into force on May 25, 2018, and more generally according to all the rules enacted by the CNIL and its European counterparts.
Any data related to an account or project is transcribed to multiple disks instantly, backed up daily and stored in different spaces, equipped with certifications. The servers used take advantage of modern techniques to avoid congestion and points of failure.
Despite all efforts, users should be aware that no method of transmission through the Internet and storage of electronic information can be infallible.

1.4 A right of access to personal data

Vianeo uses the personal data you provide, in compliance with this security policy.
Any person who has disclosed data to Vianeo has the right to access and communicate his or her data, the right to oppose, rectify and delete, in accordance with the French law on data processing and freedom of January 6, 1978, at any time, and in all cases where the applicant can prove his or her identity by contacting him or her according to the methods indicated in paragraph 7.

1.5 A security policy at the top of modernity

The software infrastructure of the Vianeo platform is regularly updated with the latest security measures. The products run on a dedicated network, locked with firewalls and carefully monitored. Security analyses are regularly conducted by third parties to be sure that our infrastructures are highly secured and constantly updated.

1.6 Passively collected information

When you interact on the Vianeo platform, some non-personally identifiable information is stored on our servers. For example, via your browser, the following information is collected: your IP address, the type and language of your browser, the pages and URLs mentioned, other browser histories, the type of platform, the number of clicks, the home pages, the “cookie” information, the pages you requested and visited, the time spent on specific pages… Vianeo only uses this data in aggregated format (it is therefore statistical data as defined in the next paragraph).

1.7 The special case of aggregated personal data

In a constant effort to better understand its users, Vianeo can analyze the personal data of its customers on its platform in an aggregated form. Aggregated data can be defined as constituted from micro data files and are the result of a combination of different measures. It is obtained by adding or averaging the individual values obtained. They provide information about groups that have common characteristics. It is possible to aggregate by location, by characteristics or by time.
This aggregate information does not identify you personally. This information may be shared with our partners. It may also be disclosed through aggregate statistics on the use of Vianeo in order to describe our services to current and possible future business partners and other stakeholders for other legal purposes.
Google Analytics and Piwik allow Vianeo to know how users use certain parts of the platform in order to make it attractive to as many users as possible and thus improve our services.
Similarly, we may provide this information along with aggregated data to our partners to inform them of how our users collectively use the Vianeo platform. This type of statistical data is shared so that our partners also understand how often the service is used so that they too can optimize their online experience. For example, we use Google Analytics and Piwik, open source web analytics platforms to collect and review this information. This allows Vianeo to better inform and target relevant groups.

3.1 Definition of a « Cookie »

A cookie is a small text file in alphanumeric format deposited on the hard disk of the Internet user by the server of the visited site or by a third server.
It is generally considered that a cookie makes it possible to recognize a visitor when he returns to a website. It is thanks to cookies that it is possible to automatically access personalized pages without identifying oneself, to identify revisits, to adapt offers in a personalized way…

3.2 Our « cookies » are securised

To access Vianeo, you are asked to accept a “cookie” file in your browser in order to improve the functioning of our services. Vianeo uses “cookies” because the functioning of the service requires it.
Cookies can also be used to keep track of your identification information, to make the identification process faster and/or be stored to adapt Vianeo services to your interests.
Vianeo guarantees that any personal information stored in these “cookie” files will not be used for any other purpose or disclosed to anyone else except as provided in section 1.7.

When you browse our website, information may be recorded in the manner described in the previous paragraph. Vianeo may analyze different types of project data that have been created by multiple users of the Vianeo platform and thus aggregate the data in an anonymous way into indicators that could potentially become public. As an example, Vianeo could produce an indicator with information on the total number of projects that Vianeo users are currently working on. These indicators & reports will however never contain any personally identifiable data, nor any information that could be associated with any Vianeo user or project.

4/ Responsability

Vianeo keeps with diligence the personal information that has been provided to it.

Vianeo SAS commits itself to do everything in its power to guarantee the security of its customers’ data. However, the company is only bound by an obligation of means and cannot be held responsible in case of a breach in security due to an external fact, not attributable to it or more globally for any action of third parties who could receive this information.

Vianeo SAS could not be held responsible if a virus and/or a technical problem would occur during the connection of the victim and would thus decline any request in this sense.

Vianeo SAS could be led to disclose any information on legal injunction emanating from the competent authorities and this in conformity with the law and the legal constraints which weigh on the company.

5/ Intellectual Property 

The general structure, as well as the questionnaire, texts, animated or fixed images, sounds, graphics, downloadable documents and any other element composing the site are subject to the legislation in force on copyright and remain the exclusive property of Vianeo SAS.
Any reproduction, redistribution or use of copy, of all or part of these contents are subject to the prior, written and express authorization of Vianeo SAS.

Privacy policies will not change without notice to the customer. Any potential changes in policy, the manner in which personally identifiable information is collected or used via e-mail will be notified to all customers.
